Wedding Photography Website - Sophia Bennett

Our goal was to (thoughtfully) stand out from competitors and increase lead flow. By refining her brand identity and designing a portfolio that conveys the right emotion to the right audience, we made it easier for potential clients to connect with her vision and book her services.

Goals and challenges for this project

Our goals for the project were to increase her lead flow and credibility. We focused on increasing form submissions, implementing a clear design strategy, and improving SEO to ensure the site stands out thoughtfully in a competitive market. This approach not only boosted awareness but also made it easier for potential clients to connect with Sophia's vision and book her services.

One of the unique challenges was making Sophia's brand feel prestigious while still being approachable and friendly. Nailing this balance involved a careful selection of muted and warm colours as well as suitable typography and on-page interactions. Tiny details like these can make a big difference in the engagement of her target audience, who value both sophistication and authenticity.

Design thinking & problem solving

To start off, we did a deep dive into understanding Sophia's brand and her target audience. We wanted to ensure that every design decision resonated with her clients’ desire for feeling special and authentic. This involved creating mood boards and style guides that reflected the essence of her work, using muted and warm colours to evoke a sense of timeless elegance while maintaining a welcoming feel.

We paid special attention to typography, choosing fonts that conveyed elegance without being overly formal. Interactive elements on the site, such as on-brand hover-states and subtle animations, were designed to enhance user engagement without overwhelming the viewer. These interactions guide visitors through the site intuitively, encouraging them to explore the portfolio and connect with the story.

We increased search rankings (more traffic and leads) with on-page SEO and optimised images and content, ensuring fast load times (good for SEO). We implemented a clear navigation structure to ensure users could easily find the information they needed, reducing the likelihood of frustration and drop-offs. Each design choice was made with the dual goals of enhancing user experience and meeting Sophia's business objectives, resulting in a website that is not only beautiful but also highly functional and effective in generating leads.
