The goal for this project was to boost user/lead generation by improving conversion rates and increasing traffic. We designed a modern, on-brand site with great user-flow, interactive elements, and strategic content structures. The result was a clean, user-friendly site tailored to both job seekers and employers.

Goals and challenges for this project

Our goals for TalentMatch were to increase user/lead generation and improve conversion rates. We aimed to enhance the visitor-to-signup conversion rate, reduce bounce rate, and boost lead form submissions. The challenge was to create a professional (yet friendly), tech-forward design that appealed to both job seekers and employers.

Achieving this balance involved crafting a minimalistic, intuitive site with a clear content strategy, subtle interactions, and effective CTAs. Additionally, we focused on SEO and performance optimisation to ensure high visibility and fast load times, crucial for user engagement and retention.

Design thinking & problem solving

To begin, we conducted in-depth research to understand TalentMatch's brand and target audience. Our goal was to create a design that was both professional and approachable, targeted to both job seekers and employers. I developed mood boards and style guides focusing on a modern, minimalistic aesthetic with neutral colours and sans-serif typography to convey trust and efficiency. This approach ensured that the design resonated with users' expectations of a high-quality, user-friendly website.

We prioritised user experience by implementing intuitive user-flows and clear CTAs. The design included subtle interactive elements (see hero interaction below) to engage users without overwhelming them. We also focused on creating a clean, grid-based layout inspired by Swiss design principles to maintain a professional and organised look.

To increase conversions and sign-ups, we optimised lead capture forms and strategically placed them on high-traffic pages. We refined CTAs to be more effective and enhanced the application process though thoughtful design, making it easier for users to complete sign-ups. These efforts resulted in higher visitor-to-signup conversion rates and a significant boost in qualified leads.

Summary

By focusing on a modern, intuitive design and strategic content placement, we built an effective website for TalentMatch. The website strategy and design was focused on increasing user engagement, conversions and sign-ups. The part of this project that I enjoyed most was creating the hero interaction :)
